Becca Dowling

I joined The Haven because it combines everything I enjoy; animals, the outdoors and helping people. My role is varied, from caring for the animals and supporting the educational sessions to helping behind the scenes with administration, so no two days are the same.

Before joining The Haven, I worked in outdoor education, leading climbing, kayaking and archery sessions for children and young people from SEND schools and organisations supporting people with disabilities. I loved adapting each session to help individuals build confidence, independence and new skills.

I’m passionate about the difference animals and nature can make to people’s wellbeing, and I’m proud to be part of The Haven.
