Equine Assisted Therapy - Children & Young People
I joined The Haven in summer of 2020, having worked as a senior Social Worker and supported highly vulnerable young people for over a decade. Before that I worked in adult mental health. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of young people’s journey’s through the work with the horses and small animals.
Helen Williamson
Animal and Nature Assisted Learning
I have been a teacher and Headteacher in West Sussex schools for thirty years. During this time I developed trauma-informed approaches to learning and have an extensive knowledge of SEND and a passion for using the outdoors to engage children in learning. Working with The Haven is a dream come true for me.
Tania Druce
Animal Assisted & Eco Therapist
I specialise in providing animal-assisted therapy and eco therapy, utilising the healing power of nature and the profound bond between humans and animals to facilitate emotional growth and well-being. I strive to create a space that is playful, relational, and empathic, fostering a safe and supportive environment for young people to explore and thrive.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
The Haven is a vision that I have passionately pursued since 2017. Before that I worked as a counsellor supporting survivors of sexual abuse, counselling in a college, working in children's homes & schools with young people who had suffered extreme abuse.
I love supporting people as the horses work their wonders. They are truly incredible.
